How I Work

Although I pride myself in continuously learning and staying up to date with relevant and fresh modes of therapy, my clients always guide my work.

I have experience in and practice a trauma informed approach and have many years experience working within this framework and with folks who have and continue to experience trauma.

My work is active, present and sometimes includes dark humor. As a person who often shares identities with my clients I bring myself and lived experience into the space in way that is appropriate and also dismantles the “old way” of therapy where therapists are the expert. I am comfortable and celebrate weaving deep trauma work in with sessions where we are processing the latest queer reality tv or social media gossip.
